WADe Asia & WADe India
With the launch of WADe India in 2016, a special event for women in design, the new vertical of Bigsea Events was born. At Bigsea, we go a lot by our heart, followed by mind. That probably led us to create this platform. WADe India is a platform created to recognize the Role Models and Emerging Young designers leading the women-led development in the field of architecture and designing. This launch was at a national level and has received huge response and applause.
2017 saw the expansion of WADe India to WADe Asia, with the coming of six countries together - India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand. Attended by more than 700 Architects, Designers & Artists for over 2 days, this event was aptly supported by Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), Bhutan Institute of Architects (BIA), Society of Nepalese Architects (SONA) and Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE).
There was enthusiastic participation from men & women in design with insdustry stalwarts like Padma Bhushan Shri Rajeev Sethi, Christopher Benninger, Didi Contractor, Dorji Yangki, President, Bhutan Institute of Architects; Anju Malla Pradhan, VP, Society of Nepalese Architects, Nepal; Pratap Jadhav, President, IIID, Nela de Zoysa from Sri Lanka, Shamima Sharmim & Nadia Farah, Bangladesh, and Patama Roonrakwit, Thailand. Bollywood actress Bhagyashree and singer Hema Sardesai were also present in WADe Asia.
CIAMBIZ India organised a mini exhibition of materials & products. With a host of Panel Discussions, Keynotes, MasterClass, Book launches, Students Workshop was also organized in association with IIA. With the super success of this event, WADe Asia is securely positioned as one of the best architecture & design events of India and a promising one for Asia.

SURFACES REPORTER Magazine in Association with partner event WADe India has come up with a fantastic concept of Nationwide Talk Series. A first of its kind initiative to reach, connect with the architects, designers, buyers and specifiers of India. As per recent reports, Tier II and Tier III cities will see maximum growth in the next couple of years, hence strong focus of the brands lie in these areas.
